He might not have been the best player in that final table, but he is still way above average player. Ppl kept paying him off with marginal-to-good hands preflop because they thought he was bluffing all the times, what they failed to realize was that most of his bluff came after post-flop and they tended to be small-to-median sized bluff. But anyone who won close to 9000 buy-in in 10 days was extremely lucky

Yes, he apparently tried to weasel out of a multimillion dollar verbal agreement -- and verbal agreements are important to gamblers -- and he's also apologized for basically technically breaking the rules more than once during the WSOP win, both of which make the other guys disrespect him, especially considering that he's not a very talented player anyway.
