Uh.. the MiG29 and Su27 were an attempt to counter the F-15, my silly friend, and although might be dangerouse in a knife fight, have no capable BVR ability, and would be owned by the -15, -16, and don't forget, the -18. Soviet era avionics are incapable of competing in the modern battlefield. Oh, and then, watch out, here comes the F22, which you can't detect....

Yeah, the F-15 is outdated. The Su and Mig29 were built to try to counter her. She still rules the sky, and has superior BVR capabilities. In an stick puller, the Su might be able to out maneuver her, but then it would all be up to which pilot is better trained, nes pa? USAF rules the skies. Always has, Always will.

But every technology fails in wars like afghanistan and iraq... Sadly we will see "which pilot is better trained" soon in georgia i'm NOT sure but it could escalate to a huge war: russia supporting south ossetia, USA supporting georgia or USA vs. russia?! (it is quite unrealistic at the moment but we will see)

Not too sure about that. How many -47's are with active units? The USAF/NASA experimented with that forward-swept wing design decades ago. It was found to be unreliable for a combat aircraft.

Wish I could read cyrilic.. can barely read the instruments in Flanker/LOMAC. Love the design of those Russian planes, don't get me wrong. I think you guys have mean looking aircraft. Love the way a Su looks from any angle!

Are you sure it crashed?, it was never meant to be produced it was a technology demonstrator, the Russians are working on the PAK FA, which will have technologies from the 2 demonstrator aircraft.
