no matter if he took 10 seconds or 10 minutes, he had a full house and I don't think anyone would fold a flopped boat vs Sam Farha. If he thinks his opponent is superior, that's when you don't want to fold hands too often because the oponnent can outplay him in the long run.

I agree, nobody would fold. The part he played poorly was going all in that quickly on the first hand of the tournament without having the nuts against a good pro who just re-raised him.

the donkey part is putting in such huge raises without having the nuts. Its the first hand the blinds are way small, no need to over commit yourself. Even if Farha didn't flop a boat all he needs is an ace and he has a good chance of boating by the river. Lose a quarter of your stack sure but no more.

how is that a bad play! What kind of person in their right mind is going to fold a FULL HOUSE during their first hand! nobody would do that. not you not i, and not that guy. It's not even like two pairs was on the board, he even had a sneaky pocket pair full. I don't see how ANYBODY can criticize him for playing it "poorly" because he wasn't leaving that hand if a nuclear bomb hit

The poor part isn't that he didn't fold, it's that he raised ALL-IN so quickly without having the nuts. Look at the bets. Each man started with 10k. Hudson raises to 450, Farha calls. Both check on the flop. Hudson bets 300, Farha raises 1300, and then Hudson re-raises all-in, another 8000+, without even considering Farha could have AA, QQ, AQ, or A10. That possibility should've at least crossed his mind when Farha re-raised him on the turn. It didn't, so he busted out on one hand.

Hey, if Farha had pushed all-in first, then I wouldn't blame Hudson at all for calling, but that wasn't the case. But Farha didn't push, Hudson pushed. I just don't see how you think it's a no-brainer to bet an additional 9k, and your tournament life, on a pot that's less than 3k, all while not having the nuts.

that ws just bad luck, 99% of the time you would have the nuts with pocket tens and hitting a ten on the flop, espeically when the boards paired aswel giving you a full house

There is obviously skill involved, but say you get dealt pocket kings and your opponent has pocket aces, or you flop a set and your opponent makes a straight, that's just luck.

Clearly you've never folded either then. If players thought through more of what their opponent could have been calling with preflop and the action on the flop they'd get away from more beats. The reason there are so many bb's is because some people just can't fold.
