I've heard that 53s is a hand you should never play; I think this episode shows why. You can only make 2 nut straights, and a nut straight or a boat are the only hands you like with it. A baby flush is a headache (it can't make money against strong opponents), and a small 2 pair seems to get beat more often than not.
Negreanu seemed tilted on this episode. Once the 5 of spades came up against Elezra, his hand lost all of its value. The best he could hope for was a split when he called the end.

I think David Grey lost a lot of value on that last hand with the AQ - if he had bet $12,000 on the river, very likely that Erick Lingdren pays him off with AK. Of course I can see the hole cards :) Was he worried about trip fours? Or trying to induce a bluff from a busted flush draw, i dont understand it really ??
