lol i don't understand why ppl always think playing tight aggresive doesn't work. most of the time if yo uwatch poker videos when someone tries to make a play or do some kind of aggresive move all they really do is A. find themselves in a corner and try to bluff they're way out. or B lose alot of money. just a couple weeks ago i was playing six handed and some person made like a couple of "plays" she lost about 3/4 of her chips. if she played tight that never woulda happened

i'm not saying playing tight is always good. you can get run over sometimes. but most of this time this brilliant of unusual poker you speak of can get you in trouble lol go watch philip hilm in 2007 final table and scotty nyugen if they jsut played vanilla poker they woulda never had those meltdwons. in taht case they're unusual poker caused them to go broke. not trying to start nothing just saying i've seen alot of videos of ppl trying to make unusual plays and they jsut lose a bunch of dough

Tight-aggressive is a label, not a strategy. Tell me EXACTLY what 'tight-aggressive' is, and what you do in every situation. It is a bit more nebulous than that. Plus, if there really is such a simple and straightforward way to play, all that means is that you are 100% PREDICTABLE. When you play predictably, the skilled players will eat you for lunch.
I would rather play a table of 'tight-aggressive' players than a table of donks; they are easier to manage.

Just saw Clonie's most recent Poker After Dark appearance. I gotta say that THIS time, she played with some more imagination. I was impressed. And it was this non-vanilla play that helped her win the week.

cmon man pple going to tell me clonie played well in that recent poker after dark? LOL she played tight and then shoved her short stack in and won a bunch of coin flips , she done absoloutely nothing special, gavin smith played the best and was the 2nd person to be elimanated
also somebody is entitled to say i think i MIGHT have to call due to pot odds

LOL, there's no fucking ruling on that. All Vanessa said was, "I think I have to call". That's not binding at all. I feel it's kind of silly for Vanessa to have even contemplated folding, but she was probably just covering her ass incase she was beat, like most pros do so that they don't "look stupid on TV". LOL, women get so emotional in poker. Remember that WSOP womens event with the asian ladies. They were all acting like crazy emotional bitches. Leave your emotions at home, ladies.
