211th. I could obviously have finished higher by playing tighter, but I play every event to win and not just climb up the cash ladder. I seem to recall that I did go on tilt a bit after this hand, so it was probably the one that cost me my chance of winning the event.

Implied odds are much less relevant in tournament play than in cash play. To win a tournament you have to win all the chips in circulation. From my experience, tight play in tournaments does not work in the long run, and will definitely not work in tournaments with good players. To win all the chips you will often have to go in with the worst hand and outdraw your opponent if he calls you. By avoiding such situations you will simply not be able to accumulate enough chips.

Was it fun to play against mike? But why on earth did you set him all-inn? You had a huge chip stack, think of all the money you could have:D

Well, he just talks and talks, usually about himself, and it can be difficult to ignore him and concentrate on your own game. With that flop the only play I had was All-in. Although I believe that I was leading the tournament for a time during Day 2, at no point did I have more than about 0.6% of all the chips, so I wasn't exactly close to winning a large amount of money. The eventual winner, Joe Hachem, was also on this table (you can see him at 0:27 in the foreground) and I doubled him up too!

Both of you were right, although Mike ain't going away THAT easy on the bubble, he plays to win also... so perhaps your thinking might be better off to make a slight adjustment trying to call with the intention to make a play to push him off. If you play to win, On/near the bubble is when you either run people over and get all there chips, or do everything you can to knock the people out that you are unable to run over, so after they're out you can dominate the table.

Aww, you say the nicest things sweetie. No, you wouldn't be allowed to go too near to the table in case you saw other peoples' cards and told me what they had! But there are cordons which you can stand behind to watch. I wouldn't want you to distract me by cheering me on though! I've got to stay focussed when playing.

at least he makes up for all the times he was nearly in tears after catching a bad river card with his typical "Don't mess with me attitude" after 1 in a 1000 bad beats that he has taken.

The day any of these 'commentators' (and I mean the ones on this post) are ever good enough to either a) qualify online and play in the WSOP, or b) win enough to pay for their entry will be the day that they can start to make comments about how you should or shouldn't have played. Until then leave it to the pros like Graeme Harrison who not only had all the information available but also deserves credit for not only being there but also having the balls to make the play in the first place!!!
