no one needs to justify Ungar's play here...
heads up any A looks good, especially if you pair it. Ungar had the other guy covered and put him to a decision for all his chips, im also sure Stu believed he had the best hand. Ungar did need to improve, but after the 3 hit on the turn, any 9, 10, J ,Q, or K would chop the pot, any 2 or 4 would win...and the rest....is...well, you know...

BUT (a) he's playing an amateur (b) winning the hand means WSOP title (c) even if he loses the hand and is short-stacked... he is still the favorite.
