Nice check raise, but could only do it because he got lucky on the turn. He bet a healthy amount after the flop with total sh##. He was also lucky gus wasn't holding a 9.

just had to bet? , he could have easily had 35 and took the check from Brian as a oppurtunity to take the pot right there. when the 9 hits the river, it`s less likely that Gus has a 9, so what can Gus represent? Sbrugby at the river obviously checked to induce a bluff. Which he would if a player like you were there.

induce a bluff? gus played like he had a 9, if he bets, u gotta either put him on a bluff, or a 9, the chances of him having a 9 were wtill good because of the way he played. thats why sbrugby checked, not to induce a bluff, but because of fear of a 9
