You know I have watched a lot of what Hellmuth does...and he is brilliant but sucks at cash games...and he is not the greatest poker player of all time. We all know that Stu Ungar, Daniel Negranu & Phil Ivey and Chip Reese are better. Phil can play holdem and that is it. Stu was probably the best and the others are well rounded. Phil is a one trick pony and that is it. I am not denying he is great and all I play is holdem but not the greatest. He went a drought of 6 years not winning past 93

It's wierd how some people overrate Hellmuth and other people diss him so unjustly. He's not as great as his worshippers think but he's a great player. Especially at NLHE tournaments.
People who know him say he isn't a jerk all the time and I believe them.

He's great at playing as a tight nit, but has always been very bad at mixing it up as well as making thin calls and value bets when he really should be, both of which are very important parts of being a winning player. This is why his peers quietly laugh at him, sometimes behind his back and other times right in front of him.
He also lacks certain fundamentals specific to cash games, some of which I've already mentioned. He should just avoid them altogether IMO.
