lemme put it in a different way.. i wanted to say that the guy who went all in was a donkey (first of all) because he didn't even wait to get a read from mike.. aannnnd that iiiiff matusow did have a diamond in his hand (such as the seven) , it would have created a lesser chance for the other guy to catch his flush.. feel me? im just saying that if i was mike.. i would have felt more conifident to fight against the flush draw if i had one of the thirteen diamonds out of the deck

Yep, to overs with a flush draw is often a favourite, but not necessarily a favourite and even when it is the favourite, there's only a marginal lead. Of course to really tell if it was a good play and all you need a lot more information than what we have; how aggresive your opponents are, chip stacks, and the level of blinds and positition would also be nice too.

** LET THIS BE A LESSON ** even a pro can get so stupid as to put in with 89 off suit out of position against a guy that the commentator even said hasn't played anything and was playinh tight. How 'out of it' do you have to be to not notice a guy's tight play 2 feet from you when the commentator noticed it.
Don't ever get a big head playing poker like 'oy yea I'll get lucky and break him with my 8 - 9 off suit' , you'll lose all your quid like Matusow has in WSOP and in life

I thought it was a good bet on the turn against a tight player. I think Matusow put him on AA or KK and felt he could make him lay down the overpair. It is day 1, and if you can't beat a flush or trip 6's, which Matusow easily could have had when he bet 2200, a weak-tight player who had a good strategy would probably lay down the AA, especially without the A of hearts, unless he had a read that said otherwise.

I understand making an all in bet with a high flush draw on the flop not the turn, @
7:05 I had a simillar experience yesterday, this donk name A-planman raised me all in with A/J spades against my trip 8's (on the turn) there's 2 spades on the flop, blank on the turn all in, call he donks and makes his flush. Pissed me off to see the chip leader bust me with such a bad call. I blurted "Jokerstars" just before I was removed from the tourament but I guess it's just as likely as this.
