A common spelling error I shall forgive. For the record, darling, the correct spelling of the word in your context is "lose". The word "loose" means "opposite of tight". In a sentence: "His jeans were so loose, they hung down to his knees and he stumbled when he walked.". "In every poker game, there is a winner and a loser.". :)

What if you're playing for 6 hours and are having shitty luck at the beginning of the night? Then perhaps that 5-minute rule doesn't apply. Actually, there's a fair enough amount of skill, luck and odds to consider which could easily offset that theory of "if you don;t know who's going to lose in the first 5 minutes". That rule might be beter applied to chess, as opening moves are crucial in later development and stratgy. :)
