He also wrote some historic novels such as The White Company, And his Brigadier Gerald stories, He personally felt that he put more effort into those than any other fiction he had ever written, The White Company was a historic romance set in the middle ages, And Doyle wrote seventeen of the Brigadier Gerald stories which are set in the napoleonic era concerning an adventurer.
